History of The Dining Room
at Anthony Davids

Following many years of success with Anthony David’s Gourmet Market, a
take-out and catering shoppe that was revered in the community, The Dining
Room was opened in September of 2002. We built a cozy room, pored over hundreds of recipes that would reflect Chef Pino’s interest in the traditions
found across the regions of Italy, and created a service style that we hoped
would be friendly and refined.

The philosophy behind that first menu has not changed in the three years
we’ve been open. We seek to offer fine cuisine that highlights the vitality of
pure flavors. Chef Pino approaches Italian traditions with a modern American sensibility. What it adds up to is a menu full of flavor, creativity, and familiarity.

Then, of course there’s the wine. As a BYOB establishment, we knew we had
to overcome some serious obstacles. Luckily, Hoboken is bustling with great
wine purveyors, and the restaurant now takes advantage of a partnership with
a local wine retailer, to offer you a full and captivating wine list. Your selection
is delivered to your table in a matter of just a few minutes. Of course, there is
never a corkage fee here. We’re thrilled you choose to join us, and we’re simply here to help you enjoy your experience.
